Public bidding reduces 20 million USD in medicine prices
VTV.vn - A 17% reduction in medicine price - a total decrease of 20 million USD - was the result of the first public bidding for medicine - held for the northern region.
The national-level event focused on 5 types of active elements and 22 types of medicines. Most of the medicines were reported to be related to cancer treatment. The bidding system is hoped to ensure the country's medicine supply as well as maintain suitable medicine prices for patients.
