The delegation gave 500 million VND (25,000 USD) to the Lai Chau provincial authorities to help flood victims recover. Earlier, the Ministry of Agriculture & Rural Development (MARD) launched a program to support them. The Ministry encouraged state workers, civil servants, laborers, and officers to voluntarily donate at least one day's salary to help ease the difficulties and damages of the provinces that had been hit by floods.
