Prime Minister meets Vietnamese community in Japan

VTV.vn - Upon his arrival in Tokyo on June 4, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and his spouse visited the Vietnamese Embassy and talked with the Vietnamese community in Japan.

He spoke highly of the sound performance and contributions the embassy has made in boosting Vietnam and Japan's strategic partnership across multiple fields. The PM said that the potential for cooperation between the two countries remains extensive and is based on mutual trust and their respective strengths, which benefit both nations.

During the visit, Thich Tam Tri, head of the Vietnamese Buddhist Association in Japan, presented Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc with a poem. There are currently 200,000 Vietnamese people working and studying in Japan, of whom 70,000 are students, 60,000 are trainees and 20,000 are permanent residents.
