PM Phuc greets us secretary of commerce

He asked the department to recognize Vietnam's market economy status soon. He highlighted the potential for bilateral trade development as the two countries have complementary economies.

He hoped the US would create conditions for Vietnam's farm produce like fruits and seafood to access the US market.

Secretary Ross agreed it would be good to improve bilateral trade, while stressing his support for the comprehensive and stronger development of US-Vietnam ties.

The US Department of Commerce will work with the Ministry of Trade and Industry to discuss issues in bilateral trade and technical matters with relevant Vietnamese agencies, promoting trade ties between the two countries.
