PM meets Vietnamese expats in Canada

VTV.vn - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc met with the staff of the Vietnamese Embassy and representatives of the Vietnamese community from across Canada in Quebec on June 10 (local time).

The PM noted with satisfaction that many Vietnamese people in Canada have been successful and have actively engaged in key economic fields such as science, technology, and education.

PM Phuc reiterated the Party and State’s consistent policy of considering overseas Vietnamese as an integral part and resource of Vietnam. He stressed that all Vietnamese expatriates, including those in Canada, are encouraged to return and invest in the homeland to contribute to national development and protection.

He also said that during his meeting with PM Justin Trudeau in Vietnam in 2017, he asked the Canadian leader to provide support to the Vietnamese community in Canada.
