New show on HCMC promenade to debut
VTV.vn - Visitors to Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street in downtown Ho Chi Minh City will be treated to various forms of street and traditional Vietnamese art every weekend starting this Saturday.

World famous music will be performed using Vietnamese traditional instruments. Artists will also perform Vietnamese traditional dances with drums played over EDM music. HCMC Street Show will be a fusion of international contemporary art and Vietnamese traditional art.

Bui Ta Hoang Vu, Director, HCMC Department of Tourism said: This is a distinct product of tourism. It will give visitors a memorable experience and teach them about Vietnam's culture.

Six different stages will be erected along the pedestrian street. All activities of the program are privately funded according to the tourism department. Each month there will be a new theme and the theme for this May is "Welcome to HCMC." It depicts the vibrant lifestyle of HCMC's youth.

The new program, which is called "Ho Chi Minh City Street Show,"will debut on May 13 and will happen from 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm every Saturday and Sunday night along the promenade.
