New measures for effective afforestation required

According to the National Target Program to respond to climate change, from 2015 until now, nearly 44.3 million US dollars have been provided to 41 projects for afforestation. However, scientific assessment still needs to be made on the results of the program in order to implement the second phase of the project.

According to experts in the agricultural sector, localities have continued to plant the trees despite it not being effective because they are still being provided with funds. In the coming time, a process of assessment is needed to ensure the project's effectiveness and to prevent any losses in the budget.
