Con Co Flag Tower is built at the entrance to the island's port. The 130,000 USD flag pole measures 38 metres.
Fighting took place on the island. It now serves as a reminder of the people in Quang Tri's bravery and patriotism.
On this occasion, Quang Tri province also announced the decision to open tourist routes to Con Co Island.
