VTV.vn - State President Tran Dai Quang welcomed Kyodo News President and Editor-in-Chief Masaki Fukuyama in Hanoi on Wednesday.

He lauded co-operation between between Japan and Vietnam's news outlets, including Kyodo News over the years, saying that it was part of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

On APEC 2017 and the 25th APEC High-level Week to be held in Da Nang, the host said it would enable news agencies of two countries to co-ordinate in news coverage to contribute to the success of such events.

Masaki Fukuyama said Japanese people as well as major corporations, groups and local companies were interested in business opportunities in Vietnam so that Kyodo News had an important responsibility for presenting coverage of Vietnam, its people, culture and business climate.
