Metro no.1 first drill begins operation

VTV.vn - This morning, Ho Chi Minh City held the TBM Drill Ceremony for Package 1b of the city's Metro Line 1.
This is the first drill to go into operation for the metro line. Attending the ceremony was the Japanese Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, a representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The TBM drilling machine weighs 300 tons and, according to Japanese experts, has many advantages over other conventional methods.
