VTV.vn - In the first half of this year Vietnam's fruit imports from Thailand were worth over 376 million USD.

This surpassed fruit imports from China in terms of value. This also presents a huge challenge to domestic fruit growers. Every day Vietnam spends nearly 2.7 million USD on importing fruits. 60 to 70% of the fruits are similar to those found in the domestic market. This reality, while a challenge, is also an opportunity for producers to up their marketing game and cater to the increasingly varied demands.
