The landslide led to deep cracks in 6 houses, while other houses in the vicinity saw their foundations sink because of it. Local authorities have assisted residents in evacuating the area. The cause of the landslide is currently being investigated, but according to local residents, the area is near and easily affected by the sewage system. Earlier on Tuesday, Nam Can district in Can Tho province also witnessed 2 cases of landslides on the river border - causing damages worth over 30,000 USD.
