International support for Vietnam's meteorology
VTV.vn - In recent years, Vietnam has been cooperating with many leading nations with hi-tech meteorological systems.
In 2017, Vietnam was hit by 16 storms and 4 low pressure areas, which caused huge losses for many people. Meteorology has become more and more important for Vietnam, especially with climate change making natural disasters stronger than ever.
Modernized infrastructure has contributed to better weather forecasts and has enhanced Vietnam's role as the meteorological centre of South East Asia.
