Iconic musician David Bowie dies at 69

Bowie’s representative had officially announced on Facebook: “January 10 2016 - David Bowie died peacefully today surrounded by his family after a courageous 18 month battle with cancer. While many of you will share in this loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy during their time of grief.”

Previously, David Bowie celebrated his 69^th birthday on 8^th January. On this occasion, he also released his latest album named Blackstar. This is the 25^th album in his music career.

David Bowie (born in 1947) was a British singer, producer and composer. His great talent was exposed in various music genres, such as Rock, Soul, Dance, Pop, etc. During his career, David Bowie had numerous hits peaking in charts, namely Heroes, Let’s Dance, Life On Mars?, Space Oddity, Rebel, Ashes to Ashes, Young Americans, The Labyrinth, etc.

Along with the music career, Bowie also had great achievement in the movie industry. He appeared in various cinematic works, namely The Prestige (2006) by Christopher Nolan, The Last Temptation of Christ (1988) by Martin Scorsese.
