HCMC sets new goals for 2018
VTV.vn - The Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee held a conference on Tuesday to introduce a socio-economic development plan and the city's budget estimate for 2018.

Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan attended the event. Reports show that the city fulfilled 16 out of 18 goals for 2017, with the two remaining involving gross regional domestic product (GRDP) and enterprises establishment goals.

For 2018, the city has set 20 new targets, five for the economy, 10 for society, four for the environment and one for administrative procedures. In terms of education, the city will run a project for kindergartens to take in children from 6 to 18 months of age.
