HCM City to launch pork trading floor
VTV.vn - Representatives of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Industry and Trade recently proposed to establish a trading floor of pork, at a trade counsellor conference held by the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City.
The city consumes an estimated 500 million USD of pork annually.
Therefore the floor is expected to help farmers eliminate reliance on intermediaries and provide direct access to customers. In addition to a local market, the trading floor also aims to serve export markets, in order to avoid excess supply.
