Fruit & vegetable exports set to top 3.6 billion USD in 2017

VTV.vn - Vietnam is predicted to earn 3.6 billion USD in vegetable and fruit exports for this entire year, according to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Reaching 3.1 billion USD in the first 11 months of 2017, fruit and vegetable export value saw the highest growth among all exported products and a 43% surge over the same period of 2016. During this period, China, Japan, the United States and South Korea were the four largest export markets for Vietnamese fruit and vegetables, accounting for 84.7 per cent of the total national export value of fruit and vegetable products. The Vietnam fruit and  vegetable Association said local fruit and  vegetable products had been exported to 40 countries and territories and achieved a breakthrough in exports over the past two years.
