VTV.vn - After a number of efforts, Vietnam's very first batch of chicken was finally shipped to Japan last Saturday. The shipment marked a milestone in Vietnam's livestock industry as Japan is one of the most demanding markets in the world.

In order to enter the Japanese market, this business had to spend 20 years developing its production process and value chains while following strict regulations relating to origins and food safety.

Thanks to its professionalism, this business has been approved to export 300 tonnes of chicken to Japan each month - a huge win for Vietnam's livestock industry.

This success enhances prospects not only for Vietnamese chicken but also our eggs and even beef in the future.

Currently, Vietnamese agricultural exports to Japan exceed 2.5 billion USD each year. This figure is expected to rise quickly as the quality of Vietnamese agro-products are being increasingly enhanced.
