When visiting Hue, many visitors usually drop in on the teahouse of Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, which is located on the foot of the city's pine shrouded Thien An Hill.
By studying Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese tea, she gradually found ways to restore favourite royal blends such as calmate royal tea and oolong royal tea.
"Famous doctors made the tea for the royal family, helping them to stay healthy by combining tea and medicinal herbs", tea maker Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said.
She grows many kinds of flowers in her garden, including rose, jasmine and sweet osmanthus. This is also the materials to create different flavours of tea. The flowers are picked in the morning to maintain their dewy fragrance.
"A basket of flower can be marinated with one and a half kilos of tea. I put a layer of tea and then a layer of flower and keep for about 5 hours, which will help produce good quality tea", Nguyen Thi Thu Ha added.
To make a pot of good tea, one should be patient and strictly follow the steps in order to allow the tea's flavours to brew. A pot of hot tea is enough to help people relax and prepare for a new week ahead.
