During the year, the national fund for sea, island, and frontline areas received 1.3 million US dollars to complete freshwater works in the Spratly Islands, the DK 1 rigs, and the southwestern islands of the country.
The national fund for the poor also received nearly 6.9 million USD to support the construction of houses of gratitude, provide a means of livelihood for the poor, and to give away gifts for the Lunar New Year. At the event, individuals who championed causes in poverty reduction and effective ways to support the poor were also introduced and honored.
