CES 2018 - The giant gadget show kicks off

The annual tech showcase welcomes about 4,000 exhibitors, across nearly 28,000 square meters of exhibition space. Voice assistants made a big impact at CES last year, but this year, they are all but inescapable on the show floor.

They're moving on from smart speakers and have showed up in everything from cars to microwaves. Cars drive a lot of the shows buzz with new technology aimed at improving safety and in-car entertainment. This week expect driverless cars and electric cars to be hot topics.

CES 2018 has been making more room for health and fitness tech, like wearables that go beyond wrists, smart clothing, smart shoes, and more. The event will conclude on Friday.
