Cambodia and Vietnam develop model border market

VTV.vn - The Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Vũ Quang Minh and the Cambodian Minister of Commerce Pan Sorasak held a groundbreaking ceremony for a model border market in Memot District, Tbaung Khmum Province (Tha-bong Kha-mum), Cambodia on Tuesday.

This marks a first step in the development of a border market system of the two countries. Cambodia and Vietnam have a 1,000 km border with 10 international border gates, 12 official and 36 additional bilateral gates.

Therefore, the construction of a border market is expected to better logistics and commerce between the two countries.
