VTV.vn - Residents in Bangkok were warned on Thursday the city’s air quality had hit dangerous levels by the Thai Pollution Control Department.

The Department reported PM2.5 dust in the Bangkok Metropolitan area at midday yesterday was measured at 72 - 95 micrograms per cubic meter, which is likely to increase.

That compares with a World Health Organization guideline of an annual average of no more than 10 micrograms. Experts blamed this pollution on still air, which was normal during the seasonal transition from winter to summer and does not ventilate the capital.
