VTV.vn - Bamboo Airways, a private airline which has just joined the aviation market, plans to provide non-stop flights starting late 2020 or early 2021.

In one year, the US will inspect the CAT1 certificate that it granted to Vietnam in February 2019 to find out if Vietnam still can meet the requirements to provide flights to the US. Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has already allowed Bamboo Airways to expand its fleet to 30 jets by 2023. The airline is permitted to operate narrow-body aircraft such as Airbus' A319, A320, A321 and wide-body ones such as Airbus' A330 and A350, or Boeing's B787. The total investment of the project is 244 million USD. Bamboo Airways currently operates 25 domestic and international air routes to Japan, the Republic of Korea, and China.
