The festival, the fifth of its kind in the country, has provided tourists and residents with meaningful and interesting activities and given a deeper insight into the beauty of Ao Dai (traditional long dress).
The highlight of the event was an Ao Dai mass performance in Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street which was joined by 3,000 people of different ages, and an Ao Dai fashion show with the participation of many top designers and representatives from travel companies.
Meanwhile, a forum and talk show on the inspiration of Ao Dai and a Vietnam-Japan cultural exchange were also held during the event that closed on March 26.
The one-month event, organized by HCM City Department of Tourism and HCM City Women’s Union, has attracted more than 100,000 visitors. On the occasion, the organising board also presented Ao Dai to more than 6,000 factory workers working and living in the city.
