2017 saw more workers abroad
VTV.vn - Nearly 140,000 Vietnamese on contracts were employed abroad last year, exceeding the set target by 28.3%.
Several countries opened up opportunities for Vietnamese workers, including as nursing assistants and orderlies, workers in agriculture and aquaculture, and highly-qualified and skilled workers.
Taiwan and Japan continued to recruit large numbers of Vietnamese workers in 2017 while other markets also had stable recruitment demands.
