The National Association of Broadcasters or NAB show 2016 took place from April 16 to 21 in Las Vegas, United States. It’s the world’s largest annual conference and expo for leading broadcasters. This year's event introduced the world’s most advanced television technology and equipment.
The most advanced television equipment and key innovations in modern television technology are being showcased at the NAB show 2016 in Las Vegas. Besides new equipment and technologies, the convergence in television management has become a hot trend for leading media companies and television networks.
Big television networks have tried to develop the convergence in the process of producing and broadcasting TV programs based on digital and information technology. It aims to maximise resources, save costs, and deliver information more quickly and accurately to viewers.
Nguyen Duc Tue, Deputy Director, Program Production Centre, Vietnam Television said: Convergence means that people in different locations can work on the same system. And the finished programme can be broadcasted on many other sources such as TV, social networks, or internet. That’s the trend that Vietnam Television has been working on and it has achieved much success.
Another emerging technology trend in the NAB show this year is 4K technology. It’s expected that Vietnam Television will broadcast the first 4K TV program in 2017.
