May, 082015

This is the third VTV’s Resident Office in Europe after Russia and Belgium, which raises the quantity of VTV’s Resident Offices in foreign countries to 10 (9 official resident offices, 1 representative office). Recently, the efficiency of cooperation between the news production unit and VTV’s Resident Offices has changed the landscape of VTV’s News programs. For example, international news program has been improved and enriched with constantly updating articles and live image from world events, thus, defining the staffs’ expertise and VTV’s reputation.

The establishment of VTV’s Resident Office in the United Kingdom and North Ireland is a remarkable step in expanding VTV’s sphere of activities around the world, which helps in updating the latest economy, politic, culture, and social news to Vietnamese audience. Along with professional task, Resident Office also acts as VTV’s representative in order to support cooperation activities between VTV and other television stations, and partners in the United Kingdom and North Ireland.

In the near future, the Director General of Vietnam Television would send a delegate unit, which is on a surveying and preparing task for the establishment of the Resident Office, to the United Kingdom. In April, VTV would officially open the office in the United Kingdom and North Ireland.
